I witness the New Year celebrations of my Muslim friends on social media. I don’t know if you see it too or maybe you celebrate it. Maybe it’s our desire to celebrate. Maybe we like illuminated ornaments, special gifts, colors. Well, how about 30 days that are beautiful for us every day? It may be possible to both worship and make our children love the month of Ramadan.

“Ramaḍân is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the standard ˹to distinguish between right and wrong˺. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramaḍân˺. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.”
Baqarah 185
AND
“It is the believers˺ who repent, who are devoted to worship, who praise ˹their Lord˺, who fast, who bow down and prostrate themselves, who encourage good and forbid evil, and who observe the limits set by Allah. And give good news to the believers.”
Surah At-Tawbah 112
